Komsomolsk-on-Amur is the industrial capital of the Khabarovsk Territory. The Aviation Plant (KNAAZ), known throughout Russia as the city-forming enterprise which produces military and civilian aircraft Sukhoi Superjet-100, is located in Komsomolsk. You will definitely have an opportunity to visit the expo center of this enterprise.

Almost all of Komsomolsk was built by prisoners. In Soviet times, the city served as the administrative office of concentration camps in the Far East. Majority of camps for prisoners from all over the Soviet Union and from abroad were located here.
