Day 1 ARRIVAL IN ANADYR. PREPARATION FOR THE ROUTE Upon your arrival at the Anadyr airport (the administrative center of Chukotka) we will meet you, help you to pass the procedure of entering the border territory, and organize a transfer on a ferry to the city of Anadyr. Excursion to the abandoned military base Gudym. At the very beginning of the tour you will be accommodated in an apartment in the village of Ugolnye Kopi. Meeting with the guides - local residents, examination and training (instructing safety training) with the equipment necessary for the program. Dinner at the apartment, an introduction to the local traditions, participation in the ceremony of “feeding the spirits”, which is an essential part of every event held by local residents. In the next three days you will have to drive 580 km on the all-terrain vehicle "Trekol"! This is a journey for the bravest people. But the experience you get along the way is worth it!
Day 2 ESKIMO VILLAGE UELKAL An early rise, breakfast, (optional - flight to the Kresta Bay from Anadyr) Departure on the "Trekol" along the route of Ugolnye Kopi - Uelkal (180 km) Lunch - a picnic "Near the Wing" of the monument of the airplane crashed during the war. Arrival in the Eskimo village Uelkal. Accommodation at the village hall. A tour of the village, a lecture on the history of the village, on the culture and traditions of the Eskimos. Excursion to the military cemetery of Alsib pilots and to the tropospheric station. Dinner - traditional Eskimo food (whale, walrus, seal). Concert of the Eskimo folk group "Imlya" Overnight at the village hall (sleeping bags)
Day 3 TRANSFER UELKAL - EGVEKINOT After rich breakfast, you will leave for the route Uelkal - Egvekinot (120 km) Lunch - a picnic on the way. After lunch, arrival in the village of Egvekinot, accommodation in cottages or in apartments. Walking around the village, visiting the local museum, ski-routes and the bay. Dinner in the "Cafe 13" or at home.
Day 4 TRANSFER EGVEKINOT - AMGUEMA After breakfast, departure on the route Egvekinot - Amguema (90 km). Today you will end up in a place where few people manage to get to, it will be a historic moment and a photo worth being framed! You will stop at a picnic at the sign "Polar Circle", and after that the ceremony of initiation in the "polar explorers" with certificates will be held. Afterwards the ritual of “feeding the spirits” which is an essential part of every event held by local residents. Arrival at Amguemu. A tour of the village, a visit to a local school, lunch. Meeting with the old-timers of the village (for example, N.Y. Tyneru, Honored Reindeer Herder) Departure to the reindeer herding brigade, subject to its close location at the moment (within 60 km) Meeting with the brigade, exchange of gifts. Dinner, campfire stories. Accommodation for the night in a yaranga/a tent or return to Amguema.
Day 5 - 7 (or 5 - 9) Departure to Vankarem (190 km) Stopping along the way at the operating gold mine «Vostochny» (99924 karat gold mined). Lunch at the mine. Arrival in Vankarem, accommodation at the polar station or with local residents.
PROGRAM IN VANKAREM Tour of the village and Cape Vankarem. A guided tour of the Chelyuskin school, the story of soviet steamship "Chelyuskin", which sank in 1934. Meeting with local guides along the route and following the bear trails, search and observation of polar bears. Ice hunting for nerpas with professional hunters (if the weather conditions are suitable). Visiting the destroyed tropospheric station "Agat". Meeting with locals in the village hall. Departure to the tundra in the reindeer herding brigade №7.
Day 8 TRANSFER EGVEKINOT - AMGUEMA Early rise, breakfast Return to Egvekinot on the all-terrain vehicle "Trekol" (190 km) Tea drinking at the «Vostochny» mine Dinner and overnight in Amguema.
Day 9 TRANSFER AMGUEMA - EGVEKINOT Departure to the Egvekinot, accommodation in cottages, lunch and dinner in the village, banya (a steam bath) according to local traditions.
Day 10 TRANSFER EGWEKINOT - UELKAL Early departure on the route Egvekinot - Uelkal (120 km) (optional - flight to Anadyr) Breakfast and lunch on the way. Overnight in Uelkal.
Day 11 TRANSFER UELKAL – ANADYR Departure on the route Uelkal - Anadyr (180 km). Arrival in Anadyr, city tour describing its history and modern life. During a tour of the city and its environs, you will visit the monuments and learn a lot about famous personalities: Grinevetsky, Rytkheu, Mandrikov. A visit to the Museum center «Chukotka heritage». Folk concert during farewell dinner (throat singing and/or dancing). Accommodation at the «Anadyr» Hotel for the night.
Day 12 END OF THE TOUR Transfer on a ferry across the estuary to Anadyr airport. Departure from Anadyr, end of the tour.
