Nowadays Tsiolkovsky town can be seen on the map, but it wasn't always like this. In Soviet times, the town of Uglegorsk (which was later renamed Tsiolkovsky) was classified. But as you know, forbidden fruit is the sweetest and today, every tourist has a unique opportunity to visit this "space" town. The program includes half-day excursions: The history of “secret” town Tsiolkovsky. Visit to the Space museum, which contains exhibits from the genesis of space industry till nowadays. Further the excursion continues right inside the cosmodrome premises. The Integration Building is designed to make pre-launch preparations and the assembly of the fourth stage of the rocket. The launch pad is the "heart" of the spaceport. The Mobile service tower is a unique service structure in Russia. Even Plesetsk and Baikonur cosmodromes don’t have such equipment! |
