The Bureya Hydropower Station is one of the ten largest hydropower stations in Russia. The station is 140 meters tall and is the tallest hydropower station of its type in Russia. This is comparable in height to a 50-story building. Being in the Far East and not seeing it with your own eyes and not getting inside this grandiose building, it’s like having a birthday without a birthday cake!
The launch ceremony of The Nizhnebureya Hydropower Station units took place on August 3, 2017. You will have the opportunity to see this wonderful man-made creation. You will see the turbine room, the place where the cornerstone laying ceremony occurred, the observation deck and the solar panels. In addition, we are offering an excursion around the village of Novobureysky.
Zeya is one of the biggest towns in the Amur Oblast and according to its tourist and residents it’s also one of the cleanest towns in the region. The program of a visit includes: a city tour, a visit to The Museum of Local Lore and The Museum of Gold Mining, The Zeya Hydropower Station and an ecological trail around the Zeya Nature Reserve. |
