Day 1 Today we travel on boat to the village of Ust-Barguzin. The trip takes its way along the coast of Baikal lake to Monakhovo village (Chivyrkuysky Bay), then by boat to Zmeevaya Bay. Accommodation on a floating base. Dinner. Overnight stay. Chivyrkuysky Bay is one of the most beautiful and popular travel destinations on the eastern shore of Lake Baikal. It has several cozy, picturesque bays. There is a hot spring in Zmeevaya Bay.
Day 2 Boat trip in the Chivyrkuy Bay. Visit of Ushkany Islands (the rookery of seals), and fishing - on request (surcharge). Lunch. Departure to the village of Ustbarguzin. Accommodation in guest houses. Dinner. Siberian banya. The Ushkany islands are a small archipelago with rocky shores in the middle part of Baikal lake near the Svyatoy Nos (saint nose) peninsula. It is here that the rookery of the only freshwater seal in the world – the Baikal seal – is located.
Day 3 Excursion to the Barguzin Valley (130 km.). Visiting the holy Buryat places: Mount Baraghan, "Buhe-Shuluun", "Suva" pillars, the face of the goddess "Yanzhima", geological monuments of nature. Lunch – picnic. Inspection of rocks with rock paintings. Return to the village of Ust-Barguzin. Dinner. The name of the valley, also the name of the Barguzin River, comes from the name of the Bargut tribe, which once inhabited the valley - the northern edge of the country of Bargujin-Tukum. Here is one of the main shrines of the northern Buddhist world - Mount Baraghan. Buhe-Shulun stone-its spirit is considered the master of the entire valley. Not far from the village of Yarikta, the face of the goddess Yanzhima appeared – the goddess of wisdom, art, patroness of mothers and children. |
